1519441 Mechanical switches; housings BSR Ltd 24 Sept 1975 [25 June 1974] 28052/74 Heading H1N In an electric switch comprising a pair of contacts 35, 36, Fig. 4, mounted in a housing of box form having a base, side walls 14, 15 and an open top, a cover (40), Fig. 6 (not shown), for the open top is secured by a fastening member 43, Fig. 7, of insulating material passed through the cover and extending at least part of the way through the housing. The fastening member 43 is tubular and has slots 45 to provide resilient legs for locking engagement within an aperture of a bush (27), Fig. 2 (not shown), on the housing. The contacts 35, 36 are sprung into channels in the housing and operable by a slide 30. Terminals 52, 53 are forced into the channels and retained by spring lugs 56. The switch may be mounted using a screw inserted through the central aperture of the fastening member 43 and several switches may be mounted together using a single screw. |
