1519365 Degreasing rolling mill scale HOESCH WERKE AG 20 July 1976 [22 July 1975] 30069/76 Heading C1A [Also in Division C5] Grease is removed from rolling mill scale by mixing the scale with 10-20% of solvent (e.g. CFCl 3 ), continuously distributing the mixture in a solvent bath, removing the treated mill scale while treating it countercurrently with fresh solvent, draining off the latter, separating residual solvent and drying the mill scale, regenerating the solvent from the grease-containing solvent by distillation and recycling the solvent. Apparatus is described. |
