1518769 Electronic watches DAINI SEIKOSHA KK 22 Sept 1976 [23 Sept 1975] 39292/76 Heading G3T [ Also in Division H 1] An electronic watch has an analogue time display 3 provided by two concentric rings of radial display elements, e.g. LED's ,and a digital date display 4 in the space within the rings. The elements h 0 -h 59 of the inner ring are each energized in turn for twelve minutes to simulate an hour hand. Each one of the inner elements together with the corresponding one of the outer elements m 0 -m 59 are also energized for one minute, in succession around the rings, to simulate a minute hand. The watch is set by a crown 5 which can occupy two axial positions and is rotatable to control four switches - see Division H1. Either the time or the date display can thus selectively be advanced or retarded. The necessary logic circuits are described Figs. 6, 8 and 9 (not shown). The watch has timing circuitry using a quartz oscillator and successive minute, hour, and day counters. The counter operation and multiplexing of the time and date display elements are described Figs. 2-5 (not shown). |
