Adhesive bonding of fabrics - e.g. for drapery, using a high frequency electric field

A drapery fabric and a reinforcement cloth are bonded by 'spotting'. A thermo-adhesive bonding agent is deposited in regular spots on the fabric, and the fabric is placed over the spotted fabric. The appts. comprises a moving belt which carries the laminate through a high frequency electric field, set up by the coil. Rapid heating of the bonding agent to its setting point is achieved, without burning or over-heating the fabrics of the laminate. Processing speeds are very high.
