<p>A blouse or shirt (6) has a series of flexible tubes (3, 4) of small diameter attached to its front and back. The tubes have small openings (5) along their length. They are closed at the bottom end (8) and joined at the top end to a main tube (1) which links all the tubes and runs three quarters of the way round the neck. The main tube is closed at one end (7) and has a mouthpiece (2) at the other end. The whole system of pipes is sown to the inside of the garment. In cold weather, the wearer breathes out slowly through the mouthpiece. Warm breath at his inside body temperature flows over the outside of his body and keeps him warm.</p> |
