1,168,135. Reactors. MOSKOVSKY ELEKTROZAVOD IMENI V.V. KUJBYSHEVA. 14 June, 1967, No. 27459/67. Heading H1T. A coreless electrical reactor comprises a coil 1 and C-shaped magnetic shield pieces 2 embracing the coil from the outside thereof and disposed symmetrically about the axis of the coil. A high voltage input 3, connected to the centre of the coil, enters the reactor through a central opening defined by the ends of the shield pieces. The coil may be supported internally on a frame comprising insulating rods 6 of, e.g., porcelain, connected by rings 7 from which the coil is spaced by wedges 11. The coil is insulated from the shield pieces by insulation 4, e.g. of the oilbarrier or cable type, and the reactor is held together by plates 8, 9 and rods 10. The reactor may be mounted in a tank 12 on shock-absorbers 13, and electrostatic screens 5 may be mounted in the corners of the shield pieces. The end portions of the shield pieces may comprise groups of laminations of different lengths bent towards the centre plane (Fig. 3, not shown). In a further embodiment, the internal frame is omitted and the shield pieces may comprise angled portions (14) (Fig. 4, not shown), and separate straight portions (15) and are clamped against the coil ends. |
