Drier utilises drying air heated in solar collectors and blown through the hopper contg. the material to be dried by a fan. The fan is driven by a windmill, and the two can form a single unit, being coaxial to each other and mounted in the outside wall. The drying hopper can be operated on the batch principle, being of the box type of having a central tube, or on the continuous flow principle.
