<p>The single crystal element has a flat surface for propagation of acoustic surface waves which is specially oriented with respect to the element crystallographic axes, and carries interdigital transmitting and receiving electrode matrices, so that a required amplitude-frequency characteristic is obtained; the mass waves are dispersed and/or absorbed. The piezoelectric material and the orientation of the propagation surface and axis with respect to the crystallographic axes is such, that piezoelectric coupling between the above interdigital electrode matrices and at least one of the group of axial mass waves is zero; this group consists of the longitudinal axial mass wave and of one of the two shear mass waves.</p> |
