Electric watch solar cell charging circuit - uses limiting resistance with temp. dependent resistor in current circuit to control charging voltage under varying light intensity

The circuit charges gas-proof accumulators through solar generators under various lighting conditions. A limiting resistor is inserted in the current circuit that consists of at least one blocking diode a solar generator and an accumulator. The limiting resistor is of such a value that the max. permissible permanent loading current can be fed to the accumulator in the fully charged condition. The limiting resistor can consist of at least two resistors of which one is temp-dependent and thermically connected to the accumulator housing. The blocking diode can be a l.e.d.
