Drill rig substructure - with platform and support frame hinged together and transported horizontally for easy erection

Substructure for drilling plant to support the rotary table consists of platform and a support frame which are both transported in a horizontal position on a motor vehicle to the site. The two are higned together in such a way that when a crane lifts up the platform, it turns the frame into the vertical position so that it supports the still horizontal platform. Arrangement avoids the transportation on separate vehicles and speeds up the erection and dismantling of drilling plant.
