Knitted articles interconnected by frangible meltable yarns - which are sepd., after heat treatment, by passing articles successively through the nip of bursting rollers

Knitted articles which are joined together by thermoplastics meltable yarns are separated following heat treatment in a finishing stage by passing the articles successively into the nip of bursting rollers which accelerate the leading article w.r.t. the trailing article. Sepn. process is fully automatic whereby no yarn residues are left in the articles and special yarn removing devices are dispensed with.
