<p>The system measures the electrical resistance of particular points on the skin, also known as reaction or acupuncture points, for medical diagnosis, using an alternating voltage. As a characteristic value the complex resistance, consisting of an ohmic and capacitative resistance, is measured. There can be an electrical resistance in series with that of the body, the voltage drop at the former being used as a measurement of the resistance at the particular point on the skin.</p> |
