The transport container has a device for suspending it in a tipping mechanism, comprising trunnions (4) on its end faces engaging in a bayonet coupling (17), together with stop faces (12-15) on a cam disc. A curved guide rail (16) prevents inversion of the holding bolt (7) on tipping, there being two such bolts used alternately and working with the cam disc (3) on tipping in each trunnion supporting frame. When the container is in the upright and untipped position, the stop faces (12, 13) on the cam disc are above the trunnions and hold the container in this position. The other two cam faces (14, 15) are below the trunnions and secure it in the tipped position.
