The hand-held printing stamp esp. for office use is designed to be readily made directly in the office itself. The necessary raised symbols or letters are produced in a strip, disc or platelet using available stamping machines incorporating stamping wheels, levers, or pliers. The produce is removed from any backing material and stuck to the reception surface (4) of the stamp body (3) on whose other side the hand grip (2) is attached. The printing surface so formed should be a mirror-image of the words or symbols which will appear on the receiving surface. The reception surface can have, e.g. a self-adhesive strip to which the printing strip is attached.
