The alloy contains in weight per cent 50-75 Ag, 20-30 Sn, 2-20 Cu and 0-2 Zn and the particles may be contacted with the solution either by immersion and agitation or by falling through a tower in concurrent or countercurrent flow with the solution. After a preferred contact time of 10-40 minutes the coated particles are water washed, dried and compacted into cylindrical tablets which can then be amalgamated with Hg. |
