<p>1518209 Printing H P CARATSCH 25 May 1976 [31 March 1976 (2)] 21573/76 Heading B6 [Also in Division D1] Thermosetting resins or plastics are applied as a pattern to textile webs, in the manufacture of reinforcing inserts or linings for garments, by applying first and second layers of powder 4 from a pair of rollers 3 having recesses 3a therein and heated to the sintering temperature of the powder, the web 10 being supported and heated to the plasticizing temperature of the first layer by backing role 2, and the rotation of the rollers 3 being synchronized so that the patterns applied overlap. Subsequently the powder is gelled at 5, smoothed and cooled at 6. The first and second layers may comprise polyamide having melt indexes of 10 and 145 respectively.</p> |
