<p>1517916 Folding rakes A G MILLS and G W LONG 17 Sept 1975 [25 Sept 1974 6 Feb 1975] 41624/74 and 05149/75 Heading A1B A folding rake for use by golfers to smooth bunker sand comprises two rake members 120 pivoted at 127 to a rake head 124 mounted on a handle 130, the rake members 120 being movable between an extended raking position (Fig. 3) and a folded position in which the rake members 120 lie parallel to the handle 130, the rake members 120 being held in their extended position. In Fig. 3, the rake members 130 are connected by pivoted links 121 to a tongue 123 of a sleeve 122 slidable along the handle 130. A stop 125 on the rake head 124 abuts the tongue 123 to define an overcentre position for the links 121. In Fig. 1 (not shown) the links do not pass through an overcentre position, but the sleeve 122 is retained in an extended position by a stop retractable into the handle.</p> |
