<p>A rail traction vehicle for moving railway cars and adapted for transferring weight from a railway car coupled therewith to the traction vehicle. Separate road and rail wheels are provided which selectively and alternatively support the vehicle either wholly on the road wheels or wholly on the rail wheels. A single differential axle is operatively connected in driving relationship with at least one pair of road wheels and with at least two pairs of rail wheels, the respective wheels in each of which pairs of wheels are mounted in opposed relationship to each other on opposite sides of the vehicle.</p> |
