The permanent connection between a metal wiper arm and the wiper blade connector is partly mechanical and partly adhesive. The blade connector is provided with a channel to correspond with the wiper blade cross section end (3). The channel is provided with keeper ribs (5). Each of the four channel walls has a rib running along its entire centre length. The rib measurements are such that the wiper arm has to be pushed into the channel forcibly to distor the keeper ribs. The connection is made permanent by the addition of a liquid adhesive.
