The axial bearing for the input shaft of the reduction gearing for windscreen wipers comprises a small disc of hard metal (9) placed between the sphere (8) and the extremity of the shaft. the disc is maintained at the end of the shaft by a cylindrical casing (10) which is forced on, this itself being maintained freely in a centring casing (11). The disc may be held either by an end shoulder of the casing, or in a circular groove in the casing and then riveted to an end shoulder, or simply fitted into a seating in the end of the shaft. |
