Tyre bead and carcass building appts. has a radially distensible drum provided at its ends with radially distensible annular springs for rolling or folding over of carcass ends over the beads bonded to the carcass, the ends being folded over the carcass by axially slidable tubes provided with a radially inwardly inflatable cylindrical sleeve to engage the springs.
