The roof structure is used for buildings, for example exhibition halls, and has components consisting of a curved part and a tension member. The tension member connecting ends of curved part (1) of the roof truss, is made from a panel. The latter has longitudinal ribs (4) and transverse members (5). The tension member also has a preloaded sheet metal cover connected to ribs. The tension member panels can be arranged alternatively into different parallel levels. In this case the longitudinal ribs can be arranged on top of one panel and on the bottom of adjacent panel.
