<p>The self-aligning ball bearing has an outer race (19) whose outer surface is spherical and is supported in a correspondingly spherical surface at the inside of a housing (20). The latter is made of two sheet metal parts defining between them a lubricant groove (31) encircling the outer race and connected to a lubricant supply nipple (30) in one of the parts. The two parts each have a flange (22) for connection to a housing. At least one of the flanges is slightly concave to the other so that when the flanges are clamped together (32), a seal, preventing escape of the lubricant, is established between them.</p> |
