<p>The strip has a narrow, sharp edges, ridge which protrudes from one of its faces, so that the section of the strip is approximately 'T' shaped. The strip is bent at right angles to its base, to give it the shape which is to be cut. The bending fixture consists of a base (30) on which a vertical cylinder (32) with square thread (34) is mounted. The depth of the thread is slightly less than half the width of the base surface of the strip. A screw spindle (38) is mounted centrally in the cylinder and has the same thread pitch as the cylinder. A horizontal pivoting arm (44) pivots with a nut (46) on the screw spindle. a grooved disc (70) is mounted no the arm and can be moved towards the threaded cylinder. The strip to be bent is placed between the cylinder and the disc in the thread and the groove. The strip is bent by pushing the arm.</p> |
