Mechanical scrubber has a drive motor which may be electric. The motor is connected to a reduction gear. The gear drives an agitator which is in the form of a brush. The brush is located below the liquid level in the container. The scrubber is controlled by a time switch which stops the motor after a predetermined time. There is no need for the supply of running water. An additional pump may be used to increase the agitation of the liq.
