<p>In a golf shoe sole made of polyurethane based foam and having spikes, there is a spike free transverse zone corresp. to the region occupied by the ball of the wearer's foot and >=2 volcano-shaped elevations are disposed in this zone. Each elevation has a base, a conical outer surface and a cup shaped central depression. The apex angle of the conical outer surface is ca. 90 degrees, and the outer surface intersects with the surface of the depression to form a circular rim 10-12mm. in dia. situated ca. 3mm. below the base. The golf shoe sole provides increased walking comfort, and adequate ground traction and is less damaging to the green.</p> |
