<p>The rotary piston engine with radially sliding vanes has a working chamber with a profile lying between two semicircles linking the ends of parallel straight lines and an ellipse. Flat plates close ends. Plates house bearings for the shaft of the centrally located rotor whose dia. is the same as chamber min. dia. Rotor has multiple radial slots for rectangular vanes, forces by springs to bear and seal against chamber walls as rotor revolves. Casing has in-, outlet ports so shaped, sized that each space between adjoining vanes undergoes an IC type cycle each revolution. Continuous combustion chamber is appropriately located in casing and houses a spark/glow plug.</p> |
