Air circulating system for living rooms - has vertical duct in wall to counteract stratification due to natural convection

A vertical duct is left in the wall of a building during construction or cut into an existing wall. A metal duct is built into this. The metal duct has horizontal sections at the top which terminate in grilles at a high level in the wall. Similar horizontal sections at the bottom of the duct terminate in low level grilles. A fan is installed at the bottom of the duct. It pulls air in from the top of the room and discharges it at low level. This circulation counteracts the temp. stratification normally set up by natural convection and thus reduces heating costs and increases comfort.
