<p>The radiation pyrometer comprises an optical system to focus oncident radiation onto a secondary electron multiplier (2) supplied by a self compensation operating voltage source (6). The output from the electron multiplier is fed to a compensation amplifier (7), a setting motor (8) and a potentiometer (9). The potentiometer (9) is in circuit with a comparator radiant (3), unstabilised voltage source (12) and normal resistor (10), the voltage across which is measured by an instrument (11). The system enables six wavebands of radiation to be measured, the detection region being less than one quarter of the total span. The total range of temperature is from 400 to 3000 deg.C and wavelengths from 0.83 to 0.2 mu m.</p> |
