<p>Described herein is a valve, referred to herein as a height control valve, mechanically interposed between the sprung and unsprung portions of a vehicle, and communicatively interposed in a fluid conducting system to place a fluid-operated suspension spring of the vehicle in isolation, or in communication under alternate conditions with a source of fluid under pressure, or an exhaust region. The valve comprises time-delay mechanism for delaying valve response to instantaneous variations in the spacing of the sprung and unsprung portions until a definite trend of spacing is established over a predetermined time period. The improvement disclosed is structure for adjusting the time-delay mechanism to effect changes in the period of valve response.</p> |
