[Also in Division F2] In a gas turbine engine, an exhaust nozzle 15, Fig. 1, is rotatably mounted with respect to a jet pipe 14 and may be rotated by an air motor 16a mounted on the pipe 14 and driving a chain 20 which passes around a sprocket 18 on the motor shaft 17 and a sprocket 23, the chain 20 engaging externally a ring of sprocket teeth 22 on the nozzle 15. The motor 16a is mounted by means of three links, with spherical connections, one of which comprises an adjustable bolt 45, Fig. 6 (not shown) to facilitate tensioning of the chain. |
