1375940 Surgical drainage appliance LANDSTINGENS INKOPSCENTRAL 11 Oct 1972 [11 Oct 1971] 46933/72 Heading A5R A penial urine ducting device, comprises a flexible cap 10 the bottom of which is drawn into one end of a hose 12 where it is clamped by a tubular section 14 which is placed in the hose inside the cap 10, the top of the tubular section at or above the end of the hose having an enlarged portion 20, around which the cap 10 stretches and so the portion 20 fills the lower part of the cap 10. This enlarged portion may have various forms e.g. a flat disc (Fig. 1 not shown), or a cup or funnel shape. The edge of the cup shape, Fig. 3, may be folded over to form a rounded edge 26 to prevent friction with the head of the penis. The enlarged portion 20 serves to collect the urine and conduct it through the tubular section to the hose. In another embodiment (Fig. 4 not shown) a pad (28) made of elastic, preferably porous material is disposed in a funnel-shaped enlarged portion (22) and has a passage (30) in line with the tubular section. This pad prevents contact between the enlarged portion (22) and the head of the penis. The passage may be optionally excluded if the pad is made of porous material through which the urine may drain. |
