Cartridge is introduced at the top of the core and contains a bundle of fuel rods with some disposed parallel and vertically in a vertical tubular envelope. The bundle is a filler freely engaged in its envelope at its upper end by connectors which can be hooked up to a lifting engine to raise the cartridge assembly.
