The butterfly valve has a valve disc having a circumferential groove contg. an inner and an outer outwardly sprung seal ring. The operating shaft extends obliquely through the circle defined by the rings. The inner ring has a radial split. A radial pin (24) in the bottom of the groove extends into the split to locate the ring circumferentially. The outer ring is also split and its ends have mutually engaging hooks to prevent separation in the circumferential direction. An axial pin in one side of the groove engages one of the hooks to locate the split in a position offset from the split of the inner ring. |
