摘要 1,211,677. Television. PHILIPS ELECTRONIC & ASSOCIATED INDUSTRIES Ltd. 5 Feb., 1969 [8 Feb., 1968], No. 6169/69. Heading H4F. To reduce persistence effects due for example to rapid variations in the scene when a sharp video signal rich in detail is produced the camera comprises first and second camera tubes in which the effective capacitance formed by the target plate of the first tube is large relative to that of the target plate of the second tube, the target plates being scanned by electron beams to produce video signals, and from the video output of the first tube only an aperture compensation signal is produced which is added to the video output of the second tube. Such a camera provides a satisfactory display for monochrome X-ray television in which quicklychanging phenomena must be observed in detail. A colour television camera according to the invention, Fig. 1, comprises camera tubes 1, 2, 3 producing signals #G, #R and B and a camera tube 4 the target plate (conductive signal plate and a photo-conductive layer) of which has larger effective capacitance than the target plates of tubes 1, 2, 3, e.g. larger area or reduced thickness of the photoconductive layer, producing a luminance signal Y containing more picture detail than the signals #G, #R and #B. The dashes above the symbols G, R and B indicate that the maximum frequency occurring in these signals is smaller than that in the luminance signal Y. Means 13 derives an aperture compensation signal C from the signal Y which is superimposed on each amplified colour signal G, R and B in adders 14 1 , 14 2 and 14 3 , the colour signals being gamma corrected before superposition or as shown after superposition of aperture compensation signal C. Means 13 may comprise two delay lines each having a delay of a fraction of one line period, a horizontal aperture compensation signal being obtained by subtracting from the once delayed signal Y half the sum of the undelayed signal Y and the signal Y delayed twice. A vertical aperture compensation signal may be obtained in this manner, the two delay lines having delays of at least one line period. The signal Y is preferably frequency modulated on a carrier before being applied to the latter delay lines and subsequently demodulated. Alternatively, means 13 may comprise one or more memory tubes. In a second embodiment, Fig. 2 (not shown), the four identical camera tubes produce signals Y, Y, R and B, and signals #Y+C, #R-Y+C and #B-Y+C are produced after superposition of signal C, the effective capacitance of the target plates of the tubes producing signals #Y, #R and B being reduced by including in the path of the light from the scene on to the target plates means for concentrating the light in a discontinuous manner, e.g. a glass fibre device which divides the light into strips, which strips may be divided into dots. The three colour signals G, R and B may be derived from one tube having vertical indexing strips, the green, red and blue light being successively projected between the indexing strips.
