<p>The system prevents thermal pollution by water used for cooling in factories and particularly thermal power stations. The water is brought into contact with cooling elements, typically tubes through which cold air circulates, and assembled in a bundle at right angles to the sheet of water falling through a gallery. The gallery can be divided vertically for its whole length into three distinct contiguous sections, the central one being used for the water flow. One outer section forms the air intake chamber, via filters, into tubes, and the other mixes the air originating from different levels.</p> |
