<p>Sports shoes, esp. for football, are provided with a flexible elastic interlayer at least in the region of the toe cap. The interlayer of natural or synthetic rubber or latex is enclosed between an upper made of cowhide or kangaroo skin and a lining made of soft leather or sheet polyurethane, opt. coated internally with a polyester resin. The flexible interlayer should be at least as thick as the combined thicknesses of the lining and the outer upper. The shoes may have an intergrally moulded, opt. studded, sole. Shoe provides sufficient protection against impact or crushing and is more comfortable than shoes reinforced with rigid toe caps.</p> |
