The wall-mounted trapezoidal channel section is for use in domestic kitchens, is sited at a level between floor units and wall cupboards, houses service feeds with control gear, and provides support for both electric appliances an and general utensils. The section has a top horizontal panel (17), a frontal vertical panel (20) and a lower panel which inclines obliquely down to the wall. The top panel has a kerb delineating a recess for the storage of appliances and pants etc. Electric feed cables and water supply pipes run inside the section, and switches control panels and taps are set in the front panel. The lower panel may incorporate electric sockets, translucent panels for internal illumination and a groove for suspension hooks.
