The safety device is for a closed-circuit nozzle-type gas heater, to discharge any accumulated water resulting from leak inside the boiler before this becomes dangerous. An opening (1) is formed in the bottom part of the sealed heater unit casing (2), being normally shut off by a sealing component (3). A float (7) working with the component uncovers the opening and rains off accumulated water when the level of the latter has reached a predetermined height. A valve can be used to shut the opening off, thrust by a spring (6) and a rocking support against a seat, the loading of the spring being determined by the valve thickness, while the float is attached to the valve by a vertical stem (4).
