<p>A cabinet (1) of rectangular cross-section is supported on legs (2) and has two parallel rows of brackets (3). The brackets (3) carry shoe trees made of soft rubber which form at tight fit inside the sports shoes to be cleaned. The shoe-trees hold the shoes with the toes uppermost. Pipes (4)(5)(6) inside the cabinet have nozzle which spray jets of water over the shoes. Gratings (11) in a housing (10) underneath the cabinet collect the dirt from the water which flows out through a drain. If required after the shoes have been cleaned, they can be dried by the application of jets of warm air. The cabinet is partic. useful for cleaning sports shoes with studs or spikes.</p> |
