Detachable pipe union - comprises pressure members forcing pipe ends together and forming internal joint without axial unevenness

The detachable union is for use between pipes of round, oval or polygonal section and conveying a medium which may be under pressure. The two pipes (1, 2) are pressed against each other by means of one or more pressure members, there being no unevenness inside the joint formed in the axial direction, which is of the same cross-section as that of the pipes. The members can comprise a fixed ring (3) secured to one pipe (1), and having openings (4) through which hook-shaped bars (5a) forming part of a loose ring are inserted. The loose ring can be in several parts (5a, 5b, 5c), and there can be two seals (7, 8) between the fixed and loose rings.
