Cylindrical brush head with material inserts for specialised use - has interengaging discs of brush head automatically clamping in material with no stitching

The cylindrical plastics brush head the numerous bores for fixing the bristle tufts and textile material inserts, as required for brushes used in specialised industries, e.g. jewellry polishing and dental work. It is made in two or more parts in the form of discs (1, 4) which have the same dia. and fit into each other by means of segment-shaped claws mouled on the insides. These discs (1, 4) are pref. provided with the bristle tufts which fit into the bores whilst the textile insert is firmly clamped into the gap (9) between the two discs. Thus the bristle tufts can be automatically fitted into the discs by a suitable machine following which the material is clamped in when fitting the discs together so that no time and labour consuming stitching is required.
