<p>The flat chassis for TV receivers, has an improved heat dissipation facility designed for modular construction and due to the increased air circulation and heat loss, smaller heat sinks can be fitted to components. The modules or individual circuit boards are plugged together one above the other or side by side. The components with high heat output are arranged alongside each other in rows in such a way that the relative temp. variation rises and falls along a row. The temp. change over the next row of components in the stack is in opposition to that of the preceeding row. With the arrangement of the heat-producing components in a vertical direction, a zig-zag temp. variation pattern is produced. The chimney stack effect produces a more rapid flow of air and hence, better cooling.</p> |
