PURPOSE: To provide a hemostatic valve to block bleeding and to be used together with an inserter during inserting a guide wire and a catheter, by equipping a proximal cylindrical member and a distal cylindrical member respectively through which holes with first and second diameters penetrate, proximal and distal bases respectively facing the proximal cylindrical member and the distal cylindrical member, a central cylindrical member with an extended linear slit, and a proximal chamber and a distal chamber. CONSTITUTION: This valve include a distal cylindrical member 20, a central cylindrical member 30, and a proximal cylindrical member 40, and equipped with an integrally formed elastic valve body 10, where these three members are matched by mutual facing. The valve comprises natural rubber, etc., the diameter of an intermediate member 30 is made larger for forming a ring flange 31 which enables a part between a hemostatic valve 10 and the inner wall of an inserter housing, in which the valve is placed, to be tightly sealed. Further, a slant slit 32 is matched to holes 22, 42 and formed through the thickness dimension of the central member 30. The slit 32 is cut out at an angle of 45 deg. against the proximal and distal surfaces of the central member 30. Such a valve 10 is assembled and set on a proper position of the inserter 50 and inserted into a vein or an artery. |
