<p>The X-ray apparatus for examination of the jaw of a patient, takes a picture of the hand at the same time as a picture of the jaw is taken, the two being filed together for reference purposes, and included on the same negative. In front of the camera (1) is a screen housing (2) through which slides a screen (3) with two openings (4,5) through it. Both openings are rectangular, one (4) arranged vertically, the other (5) horizontally. The first is for the jaw, and the second is for the hand. Also mounted on the screen housing is radiation filter (6), alongside which is an adjusting screw (7). This filter can be an aluminium plate which is 2mm thick. The second opening (5) can carry the radiation filter plate, mounted on the sliding screen.</p> |
