The compact pan head mounting for the small cine camera has a cylindrical housing with a threaded hole in the bottom to fit onto a tripod. The top of the housing has a cover threaded on a spindle which screws into the camera base, and which rotates relative to the rest of the housing. The pan control is by a remote control box with directional controls and a speed regulator. The pan motor is fitted between rotating bulkheads inside the housing, complete with the reduction gearing. The user is able to take shake free pan scenes even at the low frame speeds of home movies.
