1517018 Weft-storing; unwinding yarn supplies S CALAMANI E TURRI and E SAVIO 7 Oct 1975 [21 Oct 1974] 40966/75 Headings DIE and D1J A yarn storage feeder for a textile machine, e.g. a loom, is provided with a cap 5 6 for controlling ballooning of the yarn, the cap being mounted on top of the drum 1 of the feeder by a mounting member 7 and flexible fingers 8 which are fixed at one end to either the member 7 (as shown) or cap and bear at their free end on the other of these parts so as to support the cap on the drum with a gap therebetween through which the yarn 4 is withdrawn, the fingers 8 being inclined from their fixed ends in the yarn-unwinding direction and being deflected by the yarn as it unwinds so as to control the yarn tension.
