<p>1516379 Controlling heat pumps INTERLIZ ANSTALT 19 Dec 1975 [20 Dec 1974] 52097/75 Heading G3N [Also in Division F4] In a heat pump comprising a multi-stage compressor 3, an evaporator 2 and a condenser 4, a control system is provided for effecting cutting-in and cutting-out of the compressor stages in accordance with signals representing control variables, e.g. temperature differentials. As shown in Fig. 3, the compressor has eight stages I-VIII connected in parallel each having an associated switch amplifier SV 1 -SV 8 whose response factor is variable by an adjustable member W 1 -W 8 . The amplifiers are connected in parallel to a line 12 connected to a bridge circuit 13 which includes an outdoor temperature sensor TA and a primary outflow temperature T V . Other variable factors, e.g. wind speed and solar radiation, can also be determined electrically by a bridge circuit. The cutting-in and -out of the compressor stages may be effected with an adjustable delayed action. The heat pump may be employed in a central heating system, Fig. 1.</p> |
