<p>1516516 Disposable floor-polishing wipe S C JOHNSON & SON Inc 1 July 1975 [8 July 1974] 27756/75 Heading A4F A disposable floor-polishing wipe comprises a flexible non-woven substrate impregnated with an aqueous floor-polishing coating composition selected from emulsion coating, alkali-soluble coating, and solution coating compositions having a pH of from 7-10, in an amount from 3:1-6À5:1 by weight, the substrate having a basis weight of at least 40 g/m<SP>2</SP>, being substantially compressible and having a capacity to absorb water in an amount of at least 4 times its own weight. The substrate may be provided with nylon, rayon, or polypropylene scrim reinforcement, or with randomly laid thermo-plastic reinforcing fibres, and may have a high loft. The substrate may be a paper having a bonding material applied in pattern form thereto, and may include natural or synthetic textile-length fibres, or a laminated paper web, and may be creped. The floor polishing composition may include from 5-18 wt. per cent of a film-forming polymeric coating agent, and 1-10 wt. per cent of a wax.</p> |
