1517038 Toy construction kit MODULO SA 26 Nov 1975 [4 Dec 1974] 48696/75 Heading A6S [Also in Division F2] A toy construction kit comprising male members 1 having at least two projections 6, 7 which engage in keyhole recesses 10, 11 in elongate female members 3, 4 and are retained by elastically-deformable gripping elements 20, 21 which grip a circular portion 14 of projections 6, 7. The projections also have a polygonal portion 13a having opposite rectilinear lines which engage on the interior of female member 10, 11 to prevent relative rotation with respect to the male member. The male members may comprise two interfitting parts at least one of which is of plastics material (Fig. 4-6, not shown) and which portions may be pivotally connected (Fig. 8, 9, not shown). The male members are provided with through bores 15, 16, 17 and the female members which may be of varying lengths have lateral holes 27 for receiving axles for use with other parts of the kit. Such other parts may be wall or window panels which snap-fittingly engage in assembled structures of male and female members (Figs. 10, 11 not shown), diagonal joining struts (Fig. 12, 13 not shown), pulleys, toothed wheels which may combine with cylindrical portions to form a drum for winding a string or chain (Figs. 14-19, not shown), which parts may be of plastics material or light metal and be assembled to form (e.g. a crane as shown in Fig. 20). The female members may have keyhole slots in the side walls thereof and provided with internal partitions or ribs against which the opposite rectilinear faces of the polygonal portions 13a of the projection 6, 7 may bear. |
